Your ultimate destination is a Dry lava field from the 1968 eruption, featuring a rocky part of the trail. La Fortuna Waterfall Exploration: Get on another 30-minute drive to reach the captivating La Fortuna Waterfall. Prepare for a hike to the waterfall’s base, which consists of approximately 500 steps. While you’ll need to ascend these steps on your return, the reward is well worth the effort. Arriving at the base, you’ll have ample time to savour the serenity and swim beneath the cascading waters of La Fortuna Waterfall.
